At trial, defendant alleged no evidentiary deficiency in the Peoples case and made no motion to dismiss on any ground of evidentiary insufficiency aside from one ground not asserted on appeal, that the People failed to establish a chain of custody of the weapon employed by defendant in the commission of the offenses.
